Based in Burnfoot, Co. Donegal, Aileach Karate Club has long been a strong member of the Ulster Karate-Do Federation with a large number of senior and junior members. Practising in the Wado Ryu style, we strive to get the best out of our students in all areas of personal development ranging from competition, kumite and kata through to advancement through grades/belts. The club was founded and is still currently run by Sensei Denis Donaghey 4th Dan.
As a member of the UKF, we host many regular training sessions, competitions and seminars. Recent events included the UKF Invitation 2010 Event held on the 28th March, which played host to competitors from Romania, all over the UK and Ireland. Also on that weekend, we hosted a successful refereeing course with Sever Cucu (WUKF).
